The Sound Lab

This is where the Garden began.
Before lyrics, characters or albums, there were sounds — raw, melodic, evolving.
Modular sketches, melodic acoustic passages, and sonic experiments published exclusively on YouTube: a living archive of instrumental pieces that still shape the roots of this world.
New paths will keep growing here, alongside the songs.
Many of these compositions are released only on our YouTube channel, where the Garden first took root.

Octatrack and String Quartet

Live performance using Elektron Octatrack, combined with a written composition for string quartet in a contrapuntal style.
The quartet was notated in StaffPad and rendered using Orchestral Tools libraries.

Machines used:

– Elektron Octatrack (Sampler and sequencer)

Modular delay & Strings

An original piece combining modular synthesis and chamber strings.
The Samarkanda delay (XAOC Devices) and East Beast analog synthesizer (Cre8audio) generate an electronic pulse with echoing repetitions, layered with a string composition written in StaffPad.

Machines used:
– XAOC Devices Samarkanda (modular resampling delay)
– Cre8audio East Beast (analog synthesizer)
– ALM Pamela’s New Workout (clock and modulation source)

Analog Four and String Quartet

Live performance using Elektron Analog Four, combined with a written composition for string quartet in a contrapuntal style.
The quartet was notated in StaffPad and rendered using Orchestral Tools libraries.

Machines used:

– Elektron Analog Four (analog synthesizer and sequencer)

Medusa and Flute Trio

Built around the Medusa synthesizer (FM mode, ping-pong sequencer) and a written composition for flute trio.
The contrapuntal writing mirrors the sequencer’s structure, with phrases unfolding forward and backward like reflections.

Machines used:
– Polyend/Dreadbox Medusa (synthesizer and sequencer)

Manther and Horn Quartet

A combination of Model Samples (used as master clock with vocal number samples) and Manther, providing a simple analog layer alongside a horn quartet written in StaffPad.

Machines used:
– Malekko Manther (analog synthesizer and sequencer)
– Elektron Model: Sampler (sampler and sequencer)

East Beast and String Quartet

Two swing-based sequences on the East Beast, one low and one high, served as the foundation for a particularly inspired melodic line later developed for a classical string quartet.

Machines used:
– Cre8audio East Beast (analog synthesizer and sequencer)
