Modular piece where the East Beast serves as a sequencer and modulation source, combined with the Bastl Pizza FM oscillator, Ikarie stereo filter, and a Behringer 305 mixer/EQ —all assembled in a Cre8audio Nifty Case.
An intense and solemn classical string orchestra unfolds above this analog foundation.
Machines used:
– East Beast (Analog synthesizer and sequencer)
– Bastl Pizza (FM oscillator)
– Bastl Ikarie (Stereo filter)
– Behringer 305 (Mixer/eq)
The first piece composed specifically for The Machine in the Botanical Garden.
It uses the two internal sequences of the Microfreak (Arturia) as the base for an expressive, classical string quartet.
It could be seen as the very first seed planted in the garden.
Machines used:
– Arturia Microfreak (Digital Synthesizer)
A piece built with the Octatrack, using sounds from Native Instruments’ Core and Spotlight: Chinese packs.
Audio editing and sampling are combined with a classical string quartet, creating a personal fusion between electronic textures and orchestral writing.
Machines used:
– Elektron Octatrack (Elektron Octatrack (Sampler and sequencer)
Composed before the project existed, Medusa was the seed that inspired the birth of the garden.
A fusion of analog and digital synthesis (Medusa and Virus TI Snow) with string orchestra, it also became the first piece to be performed live within the project’s universe.
Machines used:
– Polyend/Dreadbox Medusa (synthesizer and sequencer)
– Acces VIrus TI Snow (synthesizer)
A composition for East Beast and West Pest synthesizers by Cre8audio, which inspire a classical string quartet.
The two synths—distinct in character yet complementary—create a harmonic flow over which the strings b intertwine, and breathe.
A piece where duality does not mean conflict, but coexistence.
Machines used:
– Cre8audio East Beast and West Pest (Analog synthesizers and sequencers)
A composition for the Elektron Analog Four (using only a single monophonic track) and a classical string quartet.
The synth line acts as a sonic trunk, around which the strings echo, weave, and detach, like a living vine.
A minimalist gesture where the electronic element defines the shape, and the acoustic voices flow freely around it.
Machines used:
– Elektron Analog Four (analog synthesizer and sequencer)
